Can't believe the big fella is gone! He'd had some ill health to be sure, but Big Michael just seemed to be indestructible. His memory and his spirit will be, that's for sure. You couldn't fail to warm to his irrepressible sense of humour and his innate good-heartedness. Foxtrot 58 in particular and the world in general will be the poorer for his passing. Michael will be sadly missed.

To fallen soldiers let us sing
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing
Our fallen brothers let us bring
To the Mansions of the Lord

Faugh a Ballagh!

A friend to all he came in contact with with an unforgetable and magnetic personality that made all warm to him. No kinder a heart could be found nor a more willing person could we meet. A truely selfless man!
This is how he will be remembered among those of us lucky enough to be counted as his friends.

Rest In Peace big fella!

Smpathy goes out to his family. He will always be remembered in my mind as a friendly and funny guy. He will be missed. There will always be a gap down at the site that will never fulled.

He was the most dedicated airsofter i will ever know.

I didn't know Michael as well as most at FT58, but I did manage to get to know him abit before his untimely passing. It is easy for me to say he was a great guy, but to be honest in this case he really was. He was friendly and welcoming and you don't get many like that these days. He will be missed.

My sympathy goes out to his family.

I feel truly privileged to have known Michael, my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

I am so sorry to hear of Michaels passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the take aim cup and to say he was a gentleman is an understatement. He was an example of what an airsofter should be, dedicated, courteous and supportive. He will be greatly missed.
My sympathies to his wife and to the foxtrot58 team.
