| Ever been hooked by the episodes of a great TV war/action show like “24 Hours”, “Ultimate Force”, “The Unit”, or “Over There”? Ever been drawn into the dynamic campaign of one of the better PC or console “shooters” like “Operation Flashpoint”, “Ghost Recon” or “Call of Duty”? If so, you won't want to miss your chance to play in the airsoft equivalent – the Take Aim Warlord Campaign!
You will be able to:
play in one or more of a series of challenging and realistic missions woven into an immersive storyline, each mission with a back-story of its own;
role-play specific characters or sides with specific tasks, skills or motivations – from faction/team leader, to sniper, to mercenary, and more;
fight in some of the best airsoft sites in Ireland;
read and see your exploits featured in regular reports from the front, in “Take Aim” magazine.
The factions who will be going head to-head in this unique three-cornered airsoft campaign will be:
The Russian Mafia, led by the mysterious Warlord himself - a mix of sophisticated master criminals and ex-Spetsnaz and Warsaw Pact tough guys spoiling for a fight, any fight, and all armed to the teeth;
the Mercenaries, a ruthless band of Soldiers of Fortune from all over the world, recruited by the clever but psychopathic South American drugs baron known to law enforcement agencies worldwide only as “the Scorpion”;
UK Special Forces, whose reputation for consummate professionalism will soon face its greatest challenge.
Background
Allied forces from across the globe have been hunting down top Russian mafia leader individual for over five years, reputed to have bought the protection of influential figures in the Kremlin itself. He runs a major narcotics distribution network, stemming in Afghanistan and working its way through Iran into Turkey. From there he moves his shipments throughout Eastern Europe into Russia, the Balkans and on into the lucrative markets of Western Europe west. His operation is extremely lucrative and he uses his wealth to fund numerous terrorist cells in Europe, Russia and the US.He has proven himself to be a master at remaining in the shadows, hisreal name is not even known. Allied intelligence revealed his existence five years earlier during an operation in Afghanistan. Since then he has been known only as "Warlord."
Orders – Russian Mafia
Situation
Led by your feared leader Alexandyr “the Black Spider” Zhukov, one of the Warlord's most trusted deputies, you have just arrived in a small and deserted village, located on the Albanian coast near the town of Durres. You are escorting a substantial sum of your boss's drug money. You have diverted to this forsaken location because there were reports that news of your original destination, the Albanian capital Tirana, had leaked out to the Warlords enemies.
Mission
You are to secure the area and protect the Warlord's cash shipment with your lives, until you receive further instructions.
Orders – Mercenaries
Situation
Your boss, Scorpion, has a highly-placed mole at the MoD in Whitehall, who reports that UKSF are being deployed urgently to a village near Durres on the Albanian coast. They intend to intercept a cash shipment of the Russian Mafia leader known as the Warlord. A Royal Navy carrier is now offshore, and is reportedly tasked to launch an airstrike after the UKSF have struck
Mission
You are to intercept the Warlord's cash shipment, by seizing it from the UKSF after they have struck. You must also prevent any airstrike, so that evidence which would incriminate the UK is not destroyed. If the opportunity permits, you are to recover any int on the Warlord, as this would fetch a good price with Western intelligence agancies
Orders – UK Special Forces
Situation
Two weeks ago, GCHQ intercepted a communication related to an imminent Warlord operation. A small and deserted village, located on the Albanian coast near the town of Durres, was identified as being a storage point for Warlord's drug money. A large amount of money has just arrived and is being stored in one of the village's buildings. It is also believed that int. regarding Warlord's whereabouts and identity is also in this building. The village will be occupied by a sizeable force of the Warlord's ex-Soviet and Warsaw Pact special forces, led by one of the Warlord's most senior deputies, Alexandyr “the Black Spider” Zhukov.
Mission
You are to will locate and confirm the enemy positions, seize the enemy funds, and secure all available int on the enemy leadership. You will then call in an airstrike of RN Sea Harriers, from HMS Invincible offshore, to destroy the enemy positions and any evidence of UK involvement. |

| Well done and thank you to each and every one of the nearly 50 players who took to the field at Foxtrot 58 to slug it out for Phase 1 of the Warlord Campaign, especially our comrades who made the long slog up from the south. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
And congratulations to the Russian Mafia, who lived up to their reputation as ruthless and determined opponents, never gave up and came out on top in the end; it was a privilege to play with you.

| I MUST AGREE, THE EVENT WAS A GREAT SUCCSESS.I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO MADE THE JOURNEY NORTH TO TAKE PART IN THE EVENT, AND TO THE REGULARS AT FT58 FOR A GREAT TURN OUT.THE MARSHALLS DONE A GREAT JOB AS DID THE CANTEEN STAFF. ALSO A BIG THANKYOU TO TAKE AIM MAGAZINE FOR MASTER MINDING THIS EVENT.
AFTERMATH...
THE EVENT IT'S SELF WAS A SUCCSESS, BRITISH FORCES BATTLED HARD THROUGHOUT THE DAY. CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN TO THE MERC'S, WHO FROM TIME TO TIME BRIBED THE BRITISH FORCES INTO A COLABERATION OF SORTS.THE PLAY WAS FAST AND AT TIMES EXAUSTING. THE MEDIC RULES WORKED A TREAT AS DID THE RELOAD RULES.
EVERY PLAYER SHOULD CREDIT THEMSELVES HAVING PLAYED AN OUTSTANDING GAME. THERE WERE VERY FEW PROBLEMS ON THE GROUND, AND OF WHICH THAT DID PRESENT A PROBLEM, IT WAS SORTED OUT VERY QUICKLY.
THE RUSSIAN MAFFIA PLAYED AN OUTSTANDING GAME ALSO. THEY WERE VERY GOOD IN DEFENCE BUT AFTER TIME THEY WERE PUSHED OUT AND OVER RUN.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GAME AT REDBARN, SO KEEP AN EYE ON THE FORUM FOR THE DATE, IT SHOULD BE SOMETIME IN MAY. |

| Glad to hear all went well. Absolutely raging I had to leave before games commenced. But sometimes the real world gets in the way.
