| The TAKE AIM CUP is a knockout tournament for airsoft teams. It will take place at the MOYVALLEY ADVENTURE ZONE on the 28th and 29th of November 2009. And will be held in conjunction with the IAA (Irish Airsoft Association). Yes, that’s two full days of extreme airsoft action at Ireland’s newest airsoft site.
The tournament was due to take place back in August but ran into unforeseen problems, so we had to rearrange it to the end of November. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to those who had already signed up. We promise that this event will be the biggest weekend of airsoft ever seen in this country. We urge you all to take part. There will be BB’s on sale at the site as well as full shop facilities.
What’s needed to enter? Teams are to consist of a maximum of ten players, with one substitute. (teams can also enter with less than ten players but the full fee still applies) Each team must pay a fee of 400 EURO. Many teams have paid deposits and these deposits remain valid.
Games will begin on the Saturday 28th of November at 9.00 am. They will conclude on Sunday evening after which a presentation ceremony will take place. The site will be open to players from Friday evening. Anyone wishing to camp for the weekend are welcome. The site is on the grounds of The Moyvalley Hotel and special rates at this luxurious hotel are available for all airsofters. There are also apartments on site that players can rent for the weekend at very reasonable rates. There will be a bar at the hotel each night for the participating players, ID will be required and players are encouraged to act responsibly. The tournament will take place at numerous different style gaming zones. A full urban setting, the likes of which has not been seen in Ireland before. A forest zone which is dense natural cover with added bunkers. And a number of zones which are set in the most challenging terrain you will ever come across. We are hoping to structure the tournament in such a way that each team will get to play each zone throughout the weekend. Each zone presents its own unique challenges and will put the teams to the ultimate test.
1. The winning team will receive the prestigious TAKE AIM CUP, a gold medal for each player and prizes.
2. The second place team will receive silver medals and a plaque.
3. The third place team will receive bronze medals and a plaque.
4. There will also be a raffle with some great airsoft goodies up for grabs.
5. There will also be twenty medals of honour awarded to individuals who show outstanding bravery in the field.
